Redola Bianco IGP Toscana White wine 2019

“Redola” in archaic Italian stands for country lane: it recalls a unique territory, with rich and complex nature: Maremma’s Natural Park. The vines of Sangiovese, from which the wine is made, are surrounded by hills of olive trees and dense Mediterranean vegetation: arbutus, myrtle, cistus, rosemary; scrub that imprisons intense aromas and continues down to the sea. Here, the breeze becomes more gentle and the air is dampened by the spray of the waves stirred by the wind. A unique spot where the vines finds a pristine environment and the grapes ripen in perfect climatic conditions – heat tempered by sea breezes during the day followed by the cool of the night.

  • Production place: Alberese, Maremma’s Natural Park, 30 m a.s.l.
  • ABV (alcohol by volume): 13,5%
  • Grape variety: Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc and Fiano.
  • Soil: Medium red soil, gentle slope.
  • Harvest: Hand harvesting.
  • Wine making process: The grapes undergro cold maceration in a pressing(12 hours at 5 ° C). After the pressing phase, the must undergro static natural low temperature decantling. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats under controlled temperature conditions (16°C).
  • Malolactic fermentation: partially processed in stainless steel.
  • Ageing: 5 months in stainless steel on the fine lees.
